Today, our biathlon center and trails hosted the Central Alberta Schools Athletic Association for the zone championships. Thanks to @ecchs_trojan_scene for organizing a great event. All five of our junior racers and biathletes qualified for provincials in Grande Prairie. Congratulations to @ava_heie @morgan_elaschuk @dawson_ferguson1 @alexandra08t and camryn read for some great races. Good luck in GP. @asaaprovs @nordiqalberta @biathlonalberta

As part of the ACAC Cross Country Grand Prix Series, Augustana will be hosting a Community 4x1km race! This fun event is open to anyone and teams can be comprised of 1-4 runners (yes, a one-person relay can totally count!) If you’re interested in running, please email David Ritz dritz@ualberta.ca

Also, a reminder that the Augustana Vikings will compete at 12pm (women’s 6km) and 1pm (men’s 8km) on our incredible trails with a very spectator friendly course. The forecast is looking fantastic, so come on out and enjoy the weather, trails, and some awesome racing!

Our club room improvements are well underway! So far, the space has been purged and organized and a first coat of paint has been completed (walls, overhead ducting, and wax benches!)

We are now planning a second night of painting this Wednesday, October 9 at 7pm. No special painting skill or supplies are required. We greatly appreciate anyone who might be willing to donate some of their time - it's fun to be a part of the change!

Last winter we held a fundraiser to make upgrades to our well-used club room. Well, as of this week, that project is underway! Thanks to designs from @ramona.aline.home.design we have a vision and a plan for what’s to come. Stay tuned!!! 🎨 🎿 🏃‍♀️ 🚴

Our youth and adult ski programs are filling up fast!

Are you hoping to register in a program for yourself or your child? We’d love to have you! If you’ve yet to register, remember that fees increase on November 1. Provided that conditions allow, our program start dates are as follows:

Bunnies: November 24
Bunnyrabbit: November 21
Jackrabbit: November 21
Track Attack: October 17
Junior Racers: began September 9, once per week, increasing to twice per week October 21
Teen Learn to Ski: January 2025
Adult Beginner Learn to Ski: mid-November
Adult Learn to Loppet: mid-November
